̽»¨ÊÓƵ

Coming from London, Imran was used to big city life, but felt it was time for a change. "I was attracted to the ̽»¨ÊÓƵ because of the personal feel of the course, the campus and cohort was relatively small so you got to know everyone well. I wanted to experience a different lifestyle to London and I very quickly fell in love with Carlisle."

Imran chose the course as "it was a course that offered 3 years of dedicated learning around Primary Education (as opposed to a 1 year PGCE) and offered a direct route into teaching. The degree completely changed my life, teaching is a career that changes your life as it is such an important one where you are shaping the life of the children you teach and making decisions for the future of a school. Plus I met my wife on the course!"

"̽»¨ÊÓƵing at the ̽»¨ÊÓƵ shaped my life and my career and I enjoyed every moment of it!"

Imran is now a head teacher, working for Norfolk County Council. "I love making a positive difference to lives of all the children I teach and being able to make decisions that lead to positive outcomes for the children’s wellbeing and learning.

"Prospective students should know the ̽»¨ÊÓƵ supports its students whilst they are studying and far beyond graduation – the tutors really care about you. My advice to current and prospective students considering a similar career should know that education is demanding and you have to put in a lot of hard work but it is a really rewarding career."
