Chloe, from Wiltshire, came to the ̽����Ƶ straight from school. She chose her course because of the job prospects it offered as well as because of the location in the heart of the Lake District.

She says of the course, “It was different – it didn’t seem like studying. Everything you learn is done in such a creative way and what you learn can make a difference.”

Her favourite experience so far has been “Caving in Yorkshire when studying geology.” Other opportunities have included “Upskills in kayaking, climbing, sailing as well as many other activities, the opportunity to gain some NGB’s such as SPA and ML, a trip to Picos in Northern Spain, a sea kayaking research expedition in the Hebrides, tree planting in the most beautiful parts of the UK. As well as pushing us to go on our own trips such as climbing trips in Spain and South Africa and giving us the academic support to be able to go.”

She says, “I now know what I want to do in life and I discovered new passions along the way.

Hopefully the future will see me working as an Environmental Project Manager specialising in myco-engineering.”
